So alike every other female student in the country, when your student loan comes in, you give in to temptation and go shopping, I am really bad when it comes to this, I mean really bad.
So I went to pick up a few essentials from boots, as you can see from my beauty haul and casually ended up going to H&M and New Look and tried to resist all the other shops along the way. To be honest, I am usually worse than I have been because of my lack of willpower. But then again I have ordered a few bits online from ASOS and Topshop too (I’ll post these soon.)
So first of all I was looking around for a co-ord because I haven’t actually got one yet and I saw this amazing paint splash print from across the shop and after looking at the garments I decided only to get the top as the skirt was in a shape I knew wouldn’t flatter my body type. I love the scuba feel, neoprene material of this and it is everywhere nowadays but what struck me most about this was the print as it is quite similar to Céline’s SS14 paint splash and I love it!
Next I spotted this peeking bit of lace on the sales rail and picked it up to find a lovely cami midi with lace trim and it was only £10 which was a bargain in my eyes! I love it because I could layer over it as a skirt as well and it was just one of those dresses that skim over all your lumps and bumps perfectly.
Now this little swing dress is my favourite style to wear at the moment, the spaghetti straps and skater style skirt make it perfect for a sunny day and flatter every figure. Despite the print looking quite controversial it is actually just palm and other leaf prints. I also think this would be perfect for Bestival in september as the theme is ‘Desert Island Disco’ (case and point!).
The photo with the crochet trim is just a little cotton crop top I picked up from new look which is just easy to co-ordinate and throw on casually but with a feminine edge.
The black and white scribble print is my favourite and again reminds me of Céline’s SS14 art print but this time in a monochromatic style. I have been wearing T-shirt dresses a lot recently as they skim over curves whilst looking chic and sophisticated.
Lastly these sandals have the classic case of being an ugly shoe, but I love them, simple chunky sandals are around everywhere at the moment and these are the perfect slip-ons with a secure strap of velcro, which is so easy and quick and its also hidden.
